Lisboa - Next best European Destination

Lisboa is the capital city of Portugal and also the largest city in terms of population and territory. The interesting thing is that the historic city center (Baixa) is located on steep hills, so some streets are not suitable for vehicles and there run funiculars and lifts.

Between other European countries capitals, Lisbon is unique just because being a largest city at the same time is able to maintain a small town feeling. Lisbon`s unique architecture which is mixed with the colonial style, medieval, gothic, baroque and contemporary design, Alfama old quarter`s narrow streets, red roofs and much more – this is definitely not a city that can be run by traditional tourist ticks.
